On this blog I will occasionally write some reviews of products/ natural producers/”mom & pop” shops I love that you may not know about. So here is one I use everyday 🙂

Roses Ridge Farm Hand Balm is sort of mislabeled because it’s not just for hands! The balm is an ultra-moisturizing lotion solid so it stays solid until heat is applied (your body heat) and then is easier to smooth into cracked skin. Cocoa butter & natural raw beeswax are the main moisturizers in this creamy bar. The beeswax also is a natural skin protectant and holds in moisture as well as being a natural antibacterial agent. Currently I am using beeswax from another apiary in Chesapeake… but not for long! (Roses Ridge Apiary is in full swing…more on that later!) Cocoa butter is just dreamy…for those moms or mommies-to-be: this product is great for stretching bellies!
Two healing ingredients we add are Tea Tree Oil & white willow bark. Tea Tree Oil is from the melaleuca tree, native to Australia. The oil has shown to have antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties when applied directly to skin. White willow bark has compounds of natural salicylic acid, aspirin. Hippocrates was known to have used it for aches, pain, and fevers. For this reason, I have friends that are diabetics that use the Hand Balm to help heal their skin after testing. They are happy to report it works beautifully!
Another great use for “hand” balm is on the feet. Deep moisturizing and it has potential antifungal properties…great for cracked winter heels and after a long summer of running barefoot through tall grass (oh wait…maybe that’s me…) Did someone say foot massage…get someone to pamper you with this! Rub it in and put socks on overnight…smooth and beautiful smelling toes in the morning! (Use Roses Ridge Salt Scrub beforehand…even better)
Great for dry elbows, knees, after gardening or a long day on your feet, healing cuts, stretch marks…really it is mislabeled. Roses Ridge Farm Hand Balm is a great “everywhere” balm.

Purchase at http://www.rosesridgefarm.com Its only $6 (plus shipping) and is all natural! (Local Southeastern VA folks can get also purchase at Wholefoods in VA Beach and Southern States in Chesapeake.)
